The Lebanese representative to the United Nations in New York, Hadi Hashem, the Chargé d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Washington, Wael Hashem, and the Chargé d'Affaires at the Lebanese Embassy in Paris, based on directives from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, conducted "diplomatic contacts in their host countries to express Lebanon's strong protest against the Israeli aggression on a residential neighborhood in the southern suburb of Beirut, and to urge the concerned parties to exert the necessary pressure on Israel to halt its ongoing and escalating violations of Lebanese sovereignty and Resolution 1701."
They also emphasized "Lebanon's efforts to avoid the escalation of war in the region, especially since Lebanon relies on the role of its friends, including the aforementioned countries, to support Lebanon's endeavor to obtain a resolution from the Security Council condemning Israeli crimes." The Lebanese diplomats confirmed "the importance of maintaining Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability," calling on "the concerned countries to make further efforts to curb Israeli escalation in Lebanon and the region."
