Today, Thursday, the British Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian ambassador and imposed sanctions on two individuals due to what it described as a "persistent and unsuccessful attempt by Russian cyber spies to interfere in British politics." The Foreign Ministry stated in a press release: "A hacking group known by cybersecurity researchers as 'Cold River,' operating on behalf of the Russian Federal Security Service, has targeted politicians, journalists, and British civil organizations for several years."
