Famous Presenter Makes Indecent Gesture Live On Air

In a shocking incident, veteran BBC presenter Maryam Moshiri made an indecent gesture live on air, quickly realizing that the camera was capturing her, prompting her to lower her finger and begin reading the headlines. The presenter appeared in a video that circulated on social media while making the inappropriate gesture, but she quickly returned to reading the news as if nothing had happened.

Maryam Moshiri later issued an apology on her account stating, "Hello everyone, yesterday just before the top of the hour, I was joking around with the team in the studio. I was pretending to count down while the director was counting down with me from 10 to 0... When we got to 1, I turned my finger as a joke and didn’t realize it would be captured by the camera."

She continued, "It was a private joke with the team, and I’m very sorry it went out on air! I didn’t mean for this to happen, and I apologize if I offended or upset anyone. I did not intend for the viewers to see this gesture; it was just a silly joke directed at a few of my colleagues."

The criticism against the veteran presenter was intense, with some labeling the incident a major blunder in her career, while others praised her apology and transparency, calling it a "joke."

It is noted that the presenter, 46 years old and of Iranian descent, was born in Tehran and has worked as a news presenter at BBC for over 15 years before being promoted to the position of "Senior Presenter" in 2019, successfully interviewing prominent CEOs worldwide, including Jeff Bezos.
