Quintet Meeting: A Move to Finalize a Third Option

It has been reported that a meeting of the ambassadors of the Quintet countries will be held in Beirut this week, followed by actions from these ambassadors towards Lebanese officials and leaders. This will coincide with meetings of French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian with officials in both Riyadh and Doha. Sources indicate that the Quintet ambassadors are working to agree on a unified perspective, particularly as the issue of the presidency has encountered obstacles that can only be overcome by emphasizing a third option.
