The Central Bank of Lebanon issued a bulletin today, Saturday, allowing depositors to withdraw $150 monthly from accounts opened after October 31, 2019. The bank decided in its bulletin that "without infringing on the right of depositors to recover their deposits at any bank operating in Lebanon, necessary measures shall be taken to ensure the gradual payment of deposits in foreign currencies, composed in accounts opened after 10/31/2019 according to the terms and mechanisms specified herein." Additionally, the Central Bank issued a decision numbered 13612, concerning the principles of converting assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies to Lebanese lira.
