Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz stated that "conducting a large-scale operation in Rafah is not in question," affirming plans to take all necessary steps to ensure military operational freedom. He explained on the platform "X" that "there is no doubt about the necessity to act... conducting a large-scale operation in Rafah, as we've said in the past, is not in question, and we will not withdraw until we achieve our objectives."
He added, "There will be no safe haven for terrorism; we will take all steps that guarantee our military operational freedom, including evacuating the population, securing the borders, and preparing the area for ground entry, and we will do that." Gantz remarked, "We remember and are committed to continuing the fight to eliminate the threat of Hamas and to secure the return of 134 additional hostages."
