The Egyptian cabinet announced today, Wednesday, that "Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a remote meeting with officials from the Danish shipping company Maersk to discuss developments in the Red Sea and ways to enhance joint cooperation." The statement added that "Madbouly emphasized the centrality of maritime navigation security and safety in the Red Sea to Egyptian national security, given its close connection to the Suez Canal."
