NBC News reported today, citing three American officials and a Congressional official, that U.S. President Joe Biden informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Washington will supply Kyiv with long-range ATACMS missiles. Kyiv has consistently requested ATACMS from the Biden administration to assist in attacking and disrupting supply lines, air bases, and rail networks in territories occupied by Russia. However, the White House did not reveal any decision regarding ATACMS during Zelensky's visit to Washington yesterday for talks with Biden, despite announcing a military aid package for Kyiv worth $325 million. The Department of Defense (Pentagon) did not respond to a Reuters request for comment. Reuters previously reported that the Biden administration is considering shipping ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, which have a range of up to 306 kilometers.
