UN Human Rights representative Ajit Singh called on Friday to stop Israel's mistreatment of Palestinian detainees in Gaza, stating that he "met with men who were held for weeks and subjected to beatings and blindfolding." Speaking to reporters via video link from Gaza, where he met with recently released detainees, he said, "These are men who were detained by Israeli security forces in unknown locations for periods ranging from 30 to 55 days... There are reports of men who were released later, but only in their underwear without any appropriate clothing in this cold weather."
