Jumblatt on the Golan Events: A Wonderful Heroic Stand... for More Arab Solidarity

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt commented on the events in the occupied Golan, stating: "A wonderful and heroic stand by the Arabs of the Golan and the Arabs of Palestine in Jenin, Gaza, and everywhere." Jumblatt added in an interview with "Al-Mayadeen" channel: "Any illusion that Israel will spare anyone from settlement and land confiscation is a figment of the imagination. Therefore, I call for more national Arab solidarity from the Golan to Palestine and Gaza; only a united stand can stop this Jewish Zionist project." He continued, "There must be unity in the stance of Palestinian Arabs, and there is no room for continuing what is called negotiation for the sake of negotiation. There must be a return to peaceful struggle, and even armed struggle as occurred in Jenin. Here lies the importance of the surrounding Arab stance," asking: "Will the neighboring Arabs just watch, or will they support the internal revolution with weapons and necessary tools to confront the occupation?"
