Israeli Army Expands Operations in Khan Younis... Clashes in Gaza

A new day of escalation and fighting is occurring in Gaza on Friday, with no signs of a truce for a breather. In the latest developments, Israeli airstrikes renewed in several areas of the Gaza Strip this morning, while Israeli tanks advanced deeper into the center of the Gaza Strip, following days of relentless bombardment that forced tens of thousands of already displaced Palestinian families into a new wave of mass evacuation. Palestinian media reported violent confrontations in the central and southern Gaza Strip, and in the Sheikh Radwan area, as well as the Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj neighborhoods in Gaza City.

An Israeli officer was killed in northern Gaza, while the Israeli army stated that it is expanding its operations in Khan Younis, claiming that “dozens of militants have been eliminated.” The Palestinian news and information agency reported that 35 people were killed due to Israeli bombardment on several homes in the Al-Maghazi and Al-Nuseirat camps in central Gaza. The official agency reported that sources stated there are dozens of missing persons still under the rubble of the homes targeted by the Israeli airstrikes. It also mentioned that the Israeli army targeted other areas in the south of the strip.

At the same time, Thomas White, the director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), stated on Friday that Israeli soldiers fired at a humanitarian convoy while returning from northern Gaza. White confirmed via the "X" platform that the international convoy team was not harmed, but one of the vehicles was damaged, emphasizing the need to avoid targeting aid workers. The Israeli army continued its bombing in southern Gaza, where Israeli forces intensified their strikes from Thursday night until dawn on Friday, especially in Rafah, as Palestinians rushed toward piles of rubble looking for survivors.
