Taiwan's Digital Affairs Minister Audrey Tang will make a rare high-level visit to Britain this week, where she is expected to meet with companies specializing in low Earth orbit satellites. The Taiwanese Ministry of Digital Affairs confirmed that "Tang will attend London Tech Week." She is also expected to visit the UK’s Department of Science, Innovation and Technology, as well as the Department for Business and Trade. Additionally, both sides will exchange views on issues related to digital governance and cooperation in the digital sector. According to the Taiwanese ministry, "Tang" will visit the headquarters of OneWeb, a satellite company, hoping that this will support Taiwan's communication resilience plans. The Taiwanese government is considering plans to maintain communications in the event of attacks from China, including on medium and low Earth orbit satellites used for internet services.
