An official from the Azerbaijani National Mine Action Agency, Farhad Isayev, stated that "experts from this agency use specially trained rats to clear the lands of Karabakh from mines and unexploded ordnance." Isayev noted, "In the operation to clear the lands of Karabakh from mines, specially trained dogs and rats for explosives are used." He highlighted during a roundtable titled "Protection of Persons with Disabilities and Mine Victims in Azerbaijan" that "at the same time, armored excavators, as well as Azerbaijani mine clearance vehicles of the Revival-B and Revival-T models, are also used in the same operation." According to him, from 2020 to the present, the number of people injured due to mine explosions has reached 337 in Karabakh, with 65 fatalities, including 50 civilians. Isayev emphasized that "a total of 197 mine explosion incidents have been recorded, 56 of which occurred on the former frontline, and 141 away from it."
