The Egyptian news channel "Cairo" reported today, Tuesday, that explosions were heard in the city of Dahab, which overlooks the Red Sea. Eyewitnesses told Cairo News that a flying object was "downed 2 km from the shores of Dahab."
Egyptian media published a video capturing the moment when the flying object exploded in the sky over Dahab, amidst the presence of several citizens and tourists. Earlier this month, security sources announced that Egyptian air defenses had downed what was suspected to be a drone near Dahab. The Iran-aligned Houthi group in Yemen has intensified its attacks on ships in the Red Sea in protest of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.
