Colombian authorities have decided to demolish the home of drug lord Pablo Escobar, which is also considered a museum in the city of Medellín, citing that it lacks the necessary permits, according to the Colombian newspaper "El Tiempo." The paper noted that 50 officials from the Ministry of Security, Coexistence, and Regional Administration, in collaboration with the Colombian police, made the decision to demolish the house located in Loma del Indio in Medellín, following years of litigation and various urban penalties, confirming the demolition of the illegal structure. Colombian authorities sent nine inspectors to ensure the demolition of Escobar's home, which was a stronghold of drug trafficking in the country, and consisted of two floors, lacking the licenses required to operate as a museum and open to the public. The house is currently owned by his brother, Roberto Escobar, nicknamed “El Osito,” who opened the house as a museum in honor of Pablo Escobar.
