Israeli Foreign Minister Calls for Resignation of UNRWA Commissioner-General

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced today, Monday, that he has canceled meetings with the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, and called for his resignation following allegations that some UNRWA employees participated in the October 7th attack on Israel. He stated, "UNRWA employees participated in the massacre of October 7th... Lazzarini should draw the conclusions and resign. Supporters of terrorism are not welcome here."
