Relation of State Security to Car Arson in Southern Lebanon

The General Directorate of State Security issued a statement denying claims circulating on the "Winnieh Al-Dawla" page regarding a State Security member burning a citizen's car in Southern Lebanon. They affirmed that "the news is unfounded and fabricated by whoever provided the information to the news site, and an investigation has been opened into the matter, which has so far revealed family disputes unrelated to any State Security personnel." The Directorate added that "the video circulating of someone attempting to set a car on fire does not belong to a State Security member, and the Directorate is in the process of apprehending this individual to clarify the existing confusion."
