Iraq's Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, and Oman's Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, reaffirmed today, Friday, "the importance of restraint and not expanding the circle of conflict in the region." A statement from the Foreign Ministry indicated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein had a telephone call with Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi." The statement noted that "the two sides discussed the serious escalation in the Red Sea and Yemen, emphasizing the importance of exercising restraint and avoiding the expansion of conflict in the region, and addressing its root causes, starting with halting the Israeli aggression and the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip."
