The European Union officially launched a mission today, Monday, to help protect international navigation in the Red Sea from Houthi attacks in Yemen, as announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Von der Leyen confirmed on X that "Europe will ensure freedom of navigation in the Red Sea by working with our international partners."
