Egypt: The Truth About Restricting Taraweeh Prayers in Ramadan

The media center of the Egyptian Cabinet has denied the reports regarding the "Ministry of Awqaf's intention to restrict Taraweeh prayers to a specific time during Ramadan." The center stated that it communicated with the ministry, which denied these claims, confirming that no measures or directives have been taken in this regard. The ministry explained that Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers will be organized according to each directorate of Awqaf, based on the circumstances and nature of each mosque, while emphasizing the importance of easing the situation for worshippers, especially taking into account those with excuses and the elderly. It added that mosques for Tahajjud and I'tikaf will be determined by each directorate, ensuring a suitable spiritual and faith-filled atmosphere during the holy month.
