South Africa Demands Additional Measures from the International Court of Justice Against Israel

The International Court of Justice announced today, Wednesday, that South Africa has requested it to issue additional emergency measures targeting Israel, which Pretoria claims is violating existing procedures against it. In January, the UN's highest court ordered Israel to refrain from any actions that may fall under the Genocide Convention and ensure that its forces are not involved in genocidal acts against Palestinians, after South Africa accused Israel of committing genocide under state leadership. Israel and its Western allies have described these allegations as baseless.
