Title: Arrest Following Animal Cruelty Incident

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Branch issued the following statement: "On 30-09-2023, a video circulated on social media showing a white 'Honda CRV' car whose driver was dragging a dog with a rope tied to the vehicle, in the outskirts of the town of Tiri in the district of Bint Jbeil. Immediately, the specialized units of the internal security forces began field and investigative procedures to identify the perpetrator and arrest him. As a result of intensive inquiries and investigations, the Information Branch was able to identify the individuals involved in the dog torture within a few hours: A. H. (born in 1950, Lebanese), the owner of the car, and A. M. (born in 1973, Syrian). On the same date, a patrol from the branch arrested them in the towns of Bint Jbeil and Tabnin. During the investigation, they admitted that they had tortured the dog to get rid of it and throw it away from the first’s house as it was causing him disturbance. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the appropriate authorities based on the judicial instructions."
