Macron Informs Netanyahu of His Opposition to Potential Israeli Attack in Rafah

The office of French President Emmanuel Macron stated today, Wednesday, that "the president expressed during a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu his strong opposition to a potential Israeli military attack on Rafah in southern Gaza." The office added in a statement, "This can only lead to a larger humanitarian disaster, and to the forced displacement of the population, which would constitute a violation of international human rights and increase the risk of regional escalation."
