The account of Brazil's First Lady, Rosângela "Janja" Silva, on the social media platform "X," was hacked yesterday, Monday, prompting authorities to launch an investigation and request that the company owned by businessman Elon Musk freeze her account. The Brazilian government stated, "The federal police are conducting an investigation into the matter," while the public prosecutor's office said it sent “a request to X to block Janja's account, but keep the entire archive." The government clarified in a statement: "We are taking all appropriate measures," noting that "crimes, anti-women rhetoric, and hate on social media cannot be tolerated." The hacker posted several messages on Janja's account, which included insults directed at her and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, as well as anti-women statements. The posts were deleted on Tuesday morning.
