Hamas leader Osama Hamdan stated that "what comes from the enemy's media regarding an expected deal aims to appease the families of the prisoners held by the resistance. We want a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, not temporary truces that allow the enemy to commit acts of murder and destruction." He pointed out in a press conference that "we have presented specific initiatives and ideas for a ceasefire agreement, but they were met with evasion from Israel. The targeting of UNRWA exacerbates the catastrophic humanitarian situation for the residents of the Gaza Strip." Hamdan viewed that "the destruction of UNRWA shelters in Gaza raises questions about the silence of the world's countries and international organizations. Additionally, the continued escalation of the occupation's aggression against civilians and the obstruction of aid raises questions about the role of the international community."
