U.S. Army Announces Downing of Houthi Drones

The U.S. Central Command announced today, Thursday, that the USS Thomas Hudner has downed several drones launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. Central Command stated via the "X" platform: "On Thursday morning, the U.S. ship USS Thomas Hudner shot down several drones that were launched from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen." It added: "The drones were downed while the U.S. warship was on patrol in the Red Sea." Furthermore, it stated: "The ship and its crew were not harmed or injured."

Yemeni naval forces commander Major General Mohammed Fadl Abdul Nabi announced that the naval forces will continue their military operations against Israeli ships and interests until attacks on Gaza cease. He noted that ships flying the Israeli flag, those operated by Israeli companies, or owned by Israeli individuals will be targeted, urging all vessels transiting the Red Sea to avoid sailing near Israeli ships and to keep their identification systems active.
