British Authority: Ship Receives Distress Calls from Entity Claiming to be the Yemeni Navy

The British Maritime Trade Operations reported today, Wednesday, that it received a report about a commercial ship being intercepted via wireless communication devices by an entity describing itself as the Yemeni Navy, demanding that it change its course. They added that the ship received distress calls through high-frequency radio waves for approximately 30 minutes while sailing about 50 nautical miles (93 kilometers) southwest of the Yemeni city of Aden.
