Ukrainian agricultural ministry data revealed today, Monday, that Ukrainian grain exports for the first month of the new season rose to 2.16 million metric tons as of July 31, 2023, up from 1.61 million in July 2022. The exports included 1.11 million tons of corn, 758 thousand tons of wheat, and 285 thousand tons of barley. The ministry stated that "Ukraine exported 1.1 million tons of corn, 361 thousand tons of wheat, and 142 thousand tons of barley in July 2022." Total exports for the 2022-2023 season reached approximately 49 million tons, exceeding the previous season's exports of 48.4 million tons. Most of the exports were shipped via Black Sea ports under an agreement brokered by the United Nations and Turkey in July last year.
