Five workers were injured in a massive fire that broke out today, Wednesday, at a chemicals factory located in the Industrial Focal Point in Mohali, India. Several explosions could be heard from inside the factory. Immediately after the incident, over 24 fire engines were present at the scene, along with a team of doctors and multiple ambulance vehicles. The five injured were transported to the hospital.
According to witnesses on-site, the fire started around 11:00 AM today, and efforts are still ongoing to control it. Teams from five fire brigades from the Mohali and Rupnagar regions have been deployed at the location. India Today reported that the cause of the fire is still unknown.
