England Women's Team to Face Austria and Italy in Friendlies

The England women's football team will play two friendly matches against Austria and Italy in February in Spain, in preparation for the Euro 2025 qualifiers. England's coach Sarina Wiegman stated, "There is no time to waste in February. We will head to Spain and hope for warm weather and great training facilities so we can spend every minute together." She continued, "Playing against great opponents like Austria and Italy should be good preparation for another big year ahead of us." The women's team is heading to southern Spain for a training camp in warmer conditions than England, before the qualifiers at the new Mirador Stadium in Algeciras. England will face Austria on February 23, just four days before playing Italy. The qualifiers for the women's Euro Championship will begin in April.
