Panic in Jal el-Dib After Rocks Shift Due to Rainfall in Lebanon

Residents of the Jal el-Dib area experienced great panic today after rocks shifted behind a building on Qozhaya Abou Joud street, near the Deyr El Salib mountain, due to heavy rainfall. The residents have called on the authorities to intervene quickly before the situation escalates. In a call with Jal el-Dib Mayor Raymond Attyé, he clarified that the rocks shifted due to the heavy rain, and therefore he ordered the evacuation of the building to avoid any potential disaster until a structural assessment can be conducted.
