Beware of Plastic... The Situation is Catastrophic!

Dr. Jalal Halwani, Director of the Laboratory of Environmental Sciences and Water at the American University, revealed that "we found enormous numbers of plastic particles in food due to plastic packaging," adding that "the results are catastrophic." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he urged "not to use plastic utensils during the heating process in the microwave." Meanwhile, Dr. Nada Ni'ma, Vice President of the Consumer Association, pointed out that "there are several questions surrounding the management of drinking water in Lebanon," emphasizing the need to put an end to the use of plastic containers.
