Security Forces Warn Against Falling Victim to Criminal Network

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "a number of individuals have recently fallen victim to a criminal network engaged in fraudulent activities in the field of cryptocurrencies by contacting them via WhatsApp and Telegram apps," misleading them into thinking they are purchasing "USDT" cryptocurrencies. They then set a meeting time to steal their money without sending any cryptocurrencies.

The statement added: "Therefore, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces warns citizens not to fall for the fraudulent maneuvers of these gangs, so they do not become victims of theft or put their lives at risk. It requests, based on the directive of the competent judiciary, that those who have fallen victim to similar operations contact the Information Division at the hotline: /1788/, to provide any information they may have."
