The Guinean Ministry of Justice announced in a statement today, Monday, that at least nine people died after armed men stormed a prison in the capital over the weekend, briefly releasing former military ruler Moussa Dadis Camara and other military detainees. The ministry stated: "Authorities found the bodies of three attackers, four security personnel, and two other individuals." It added, "Six others are receiving treatment in the hospital for gunshot wounds." Officials noted that "forces conducted searches of homes and vehicles after the prison break, locating former President Camara and two escapee officers, and rearrested them." They added that a third officer is still at large.
