Today, Saturday, a statement was issued by Nader Hariri's office, stating: "General Ashraf Rifi appeared through an online platform, positioning himself as a judge issuing rulings against Mr. Nader Hariri, distributing accusations and slanders as usual, with empty words not based on any evidence, documents, or facts." He added: "Mr. Judge Ashraf Rifi says: 'I do not want to go into details, but in the end, there are many files,' and we say to him: We want to go into details, and since you have become an advocate for integrity, rectitude, and commitment to the law, lift your immunity and let us meet in court, under the rule of law... or remain silent, for silence is more dignified for someone like you."
For his part, Rifi responded, saying: "The immunity to speak the truth is my immunity. Whoever does not stand behind his ministerial immunity before the judicial investigator is ready to confront those who know people's roles in political business with Gibran, the election of Aoun, conspiring against the Arab role, exchanging benefits, and leading to exclusion from the Center House." He concluded: "Welcome in front of the judiciary."
