The U.S. Department of State announced that it has reached a settlement with Boeing requiring the company to pay 51 million dollars for committing 200 violations of the Arms Export Control Act, including the transfer of technical data to China. The department clarified in a statement that the company committed these export violations years ago and disclosed them voluntarily. Among these violations was Boeing's unauthorized export of defense equipment as well as technical information to foreign employees and contractors. This included "unauthorized exports of technical data" to China.
