Resumption of Maritime Traffic in the Bosphorus Strait

The Tribeca Shipping Agency reported that maritime traffic in the Bosphorus Strait in Turkey for ships heading north is set to resume at 17:00 GMT today, Sunday, after being suspended due to a malfunction in the anchor of one of the vessels. According to a report published by the agency, the anchor of the Liberian-flagged tanker Beria freed itself due to bad weather near the Sultan Selim I Bridge while navigating the strait, and tugboats were sent for assistance. The report also stated that the tugs will escort the ship to the Küçükçekmece port area.
