Chemical Attack in Britain Injures 9 People

British police reported that nine individuals, including a mother and two young children, were taken to the hospital following a chemical attack in south London. The police stated, "A mother and her two small children were rushed to the hospital after being subjected to a corrosive chemical attack in south London." They indicated that "the attacker fled the scene, and the Metropolitan Police are pursuing him." Detective Inspector Alexander Castle said, "Officers are on site, and three injured people, a woman and her two young children, have been taken to the hospital for treatment." He added, "Three other individuals, all adults, and three police officers were also hospitalized due to injuries they presumably sustained while coming to aid the victims. We have launched an investigation into this horrific incident and will carry out the necessary work, and as soon as we learn more about their conditions, we will inform you."
