Beirut Club Advances to the Semifinals of the Dubai Basketball Championship

Beirut, the Arab champion, deservedly advanced to the semifinals after defeating the Tunisian national team 82-88. Notably, the Beirut team showed a different level compared to what they presented in the preliminary round, revealing their true form as one of the contenders in this championship. The key to their success in the final three quarters was their defense, which had been absent in the first quarter, which ended in favor of the Tunisian team by a 10-point margin. Afterwards, Beirut imposed its defensive strategy, closing all avenues against their Tunisian rivals, aided by the standout performance of their captain, Ali Haidar, on defense and the brilliance of their foreign player, Takar, along with Sergio Darwish in attack, where Haidar scored the highest with 28 points, while Darwish contributed 18 points.
