A Turkish official indicated today, Wednesday, that "Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 12." The official added that "Erdoğan will travel to Egypt on February 14, after the two countries normalized diplomatic relations and exchanged ambassadors last year following a decade of strained relations." This will be Putin's first visit to a NATO member country since the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
