Qarqash: UAE President's Visit to Russia Scheduled in Advance

Anwar Qarqash, the diplomatic advisor to the UAE president, stated that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's visit to Russia is "scheduled in advance," emphasizing that it falls under "our independent sovereign choices." Qarqash tweeted that the UAE president's visit to Russia is "scheduled in advance as part of bilateral relations and within our independent sovereign choices." He added, "Nevertheless, the escalation seen in the war in Ukraine requires an urgent solution through diplomacy and dialogue, and respect for the rules and principles of international law, which is the UAE's steadfast and established position." The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that the president's visit to Russia aims to enhance fruitful and constructive cooperation with regional and international powers to achieve an effective resolution to the Ukraine crisis.
