UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Thursday for a ceasefire in Sudan during Ramadan. Guterres stated before the UN Security Council, "This ceasefire should lead to an end to hostilities across the country and chart a definitive path towards lasting peace for the Sudanese people."
