Helmy Bakr's wife, Samah El-Qurashi, shared updates about his health in interviews with local media, stating that he has been suffering a complete loss of mobility in his legs for several days.
She clarified that he does not have any mental issues or problems speaking, explaining that he still remembers everything around him and can discuss art with full mental capacity. She emphasized that his condition resulted from the shock he experienced after his manager embezzled his money, which amounts to 2 million and 280 thousand Egyptian pounds.
Bakr's lawyer has accused his former manager of fraud and embezzlement of this amount, after misleading him into believing that the money had been deposited in a bank to be tied to a certificate at an interest rate of 18 percent.
