Senegalese Police Use Tear Gas on Protesters

On Monday, Reuters reported that "Senegalese police fired tear gas to disperse protesters who gathered outside the parliament to demonstrate against the postponement of the presidential elections that were scheduled for February 25." The Senegalese Ministry of Communications stated in a statement that mobile internet service has been temporarily suspended since Sunday evening "due to hate messages being sent via social media amid protests over the election postponement."
