The Greek police reported that a bomb exploded in front of the Ministry of Labor in central Athens early on Saturday, causing no injuries. The police explained that a Greek newspaper received a phone call warning of a bomb planted at the ministry and informed the police, who cordoned off the area before the explosion, which damaged the building and shattered windows. The police have opened an investigation into the incident. An anonymous police official stated that the caller claimed that an unknown armed group was behind the attack. Greece has a history of political violence, with small bomb attacks and arson occurring frequently, most of which do not cause severe damage. Nonetheless, the government expressed concern about the incident. Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis told Open TV on Saturday, "The attack is very serious and is linked to a serious crime."
