Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant accused Turkey on Monday of being "in fact the executive arm of Hamas" following the arrest of an Israeli football player in Antalya who showed solidarity with the Gaza war hostages during a match in the Turkish Premier League. In a post on X, Gallant reminded Turkey of the rapid assistance that Israel provided to it after last year’s earthquake, describing the treatment of player Sagiv Jihazkil as "hypocritical and ungrateful."
