White House: We Believe Iran is Behind the Attacks on Ships in the Red Sea

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed on Monday that "the United States will continue to push for the release of more hostages held by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement 'Hamas' in Gaza." He pointed out during a press conference that "Hamas is refusing to release civilian women," announcing that "he had made several rounds of phone calls earlier this week regarding developments in Gaza." In this context, Sullivan revealed that "the attack on three ships in the Red Sea earlier this week poses a threat to international peace and stability." He stated that Washington "has reason to believe that these attacks were fully supported by Iran, even though the Houthis carried them out in Yemen."
