Reconnaissance Flights Over the Western and Central Sectors

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft continued to fly overnight and into this morning over the villages of the western and central sectors, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tyre. The Israeli army also continued to launch flares over the southern villages and towns adjacent to the Blue Line. Last night, the Israeli army fired several heavy artillery shells at the outskirts of Nakoura, Dhahiar, and Al-Ma'shar. Meanwhile, UNIFIL forces remained in their positions and sounded alarms multiple times during the shelling of the area. The situation for residents in the villages near the Blue Line is increasingly difficult due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment. Some farmers attempted to work in the fields, particularly planting tobacco seedlings, but the Israeli army fired at them to prevent their activities. The number of displaced people is rising as violations continue to expand.
