Al-Qassam published a video on its "Telegram" channel showing military media revealing how the Al-Ghul rifle is manufactured by a group of resistance youth. The video, titled "We Made with Our Own Hands What Harvests Your Heads," emphasizes the local production of weaponry. It highlights the rifle's effectiveness during the "Al-Aqsa Flood" war, inflicting significant losses on the Israeli military in the field.
The rifle is named after a Hamas leader, Adnan Al-Ghul, also known as Abu Bilal and nicknamed "Abu Qassam Rockets." He was assassinated after 18 years of evasion in an airstrike targeting him and commander Imad Abbas in Gaza. Al-Ghul was responsible for manufacturing the first hand grenade and the "Al-Bana" and "Al-Battar" rockets, as well as the Yassin launcher, while presenting his sons Bilal and Mohammad as martyrs.
