TotalEnergies announced that the "Gonfreville" refinery, which the company operates in northern France, resumed its operations today, Tuesday, becoming the last of four local refineries to restart following a month-long strike. Workers began the strike at TotalEnergies sites on March 7, in protest against the government's plan to raise the retirement age by two years to 64, which impacted operations and deliveries from storage sites. The strike ended at the "Donges" refinery in the west and the "La Mède" refinery in the south on April 7, while the "Fos" refinery in the east started returning to service on April 4.
